About The Farm

Before the Civil War, before Abraham Lincoln, before the Pony Express made it's first ride, we were farming and ranching this same piece of land right here in Northeast Texas. Deeded to us by the Great "Sam Houston" in 1860 over 7 generations of family have keep the dream of working with the land as their most cherished gift to pass on to the next generation. This land has provided a good living for us even in the toughest of times. Today we are returning even more resources back into the land through; cover crops, rotational grazing  and improved poly-cultures. These farming and ranching practices return nutrients back into the soil that has worked so hard for us over the last 158 years.

Over the next 25 years we are concentrating on breeding and raising Registered Black Angus Cattle for seed stock, breeding stock, starter herds, yearling genetics and herd bulls. We play both sides of the fence, chasing the EPD's of Calving Ease Direct (CED), Weaning Weight (WW), Yearling Weight (YW) and Dollar Beef Value ($B). While we also develop animals that excel in "Grassfed Beef" genetics. These Grassfed beef genetics can provide more performance on a grass and forage diet where Calving Ease Direct (CED), Marbling (MARB), Yearling Weight (YW) and Cow Energy Value ($EN) are extremely important to Ranchers finishing out on natural forage. Please checkout our cattle and call us if you have any questions, need some cattle via private treaty or want information on one of our spring or fall sales.
